Hooray, hooray. Last year, I got overexcited at the start, so I kind of burnt myself out around 38K words and hit a writer's block. Doh! I managed just under 43K, and the story was more or less…Continue

I just noticed there's another NaNo group on She Writes, called NaNoWriMo How Fast Can You Write. Just fyi! :)

Glenys, the NaNo site totally changed the system they've been running on (now it's something called Rails???) and  the email system is not yet working but the site is up and running better than ever.

Last year was the first I knew of NaNo and it inspired me as a spectator, this year I'm going to take the plunge!

Is there such a thing as a signup call? You have to go to the NaNoWriMo website, which is, I think nanowrimo.org (Google it to be sure). :)

I need advice on what to write about. Will start a discussion. So excited!! :)

So's the end product for me... but a 50K word kickstart on a novel is a great feeling. Last year I actually "started" with the beginning of my novel and put 50K new words into it. This year I have a rough outline, and a pretty firm idea of the main players. It's going to be interesting to see how different it is.

Nice idea to have a group - haven't seen sign up calls yet for the NanoWriMo this year. Have they gone out yet?
