Introduction
Hi Im Carrie, from Florida. I have always loved writing and thought I would give it a try, I just finished the first chapter to my first book and I am excited! I am brainstorming and working on writing the second chapter, I am having so much fun but now I long for friends who are like me and share the love of imagination, creation and writing. I love fantasy books like Harry Potter, Twilight and True Blood and I love horror books by Stephen King and James Patterson. I look forward to getting to know you all in group and please feel free to add me.

Hi Carrie, Welcome to She Writes. You will find many kindred spirits here. As for face to face time, check out your libraries, bookstores and local writing groups of Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, Romance Writers of America and Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators for possible critique groups and local support. Otherwise you will find many women who are very supportive here too.

Hi, Carrie, I'm also new to the group (and the site). Welcome! And funny enough, I also have recently finished the first chapter, and one other which will come later, from my first book. I sought out different sites and blogs as soon as I realized how fulfilling writing had become for me (when I joined a Writers group in my town and my writing took off). This is one of the most informative and encouraging sites I have found. I look forward to hearing more about your novel as it develops!
