I think it'll be useful, if for nothing else than to read all the blurbs and learn how best to write my own.

it sounds like a great idea to read through all of those!  if you read through a sequence that have the topic and voice of your own novel, it should get you in the "groove" for writing a query that gets to the point!

I hope I fund such a book. That would be useful!

That's lovely to hear, Petrea! (And I didn't know, thanks!) I do think looking through a catalog is a great way to think about how to pitch your book, collect blurbs, etc.

Not all the blurbs are interesting. That could be personal taste (it probably is). I have my work cut out for me but, as I'm at the querying stage, I see this as an opportunity.
