I've noticed quite a few names I recognize around here. If you've published a novel or have one coming soon, do tell us about it here.

Please feel free to put up a cover, but do please try to keep it MODEST-SIZED, so we can see more without having to scroll so much.To make sure it isn't too big, once you've added the jpeg, just click on it to reveal the html code and insert: width="220"

In return (big smiley face) I have JUST managed to upload ebook after many trials and tribulations, so would value your reading/reviewing etc if you'd care to return the favour. I, too have just untweeted a couple of people who do nothing but advertise. Why don't people realise how unhelpful this is!  NB where in the US are you? Always interested. Visited NY and Boston (have friends there). x C

This is the cover of my Amazon Ebook. It's a Crossover, I think. The story is told by Annie, who is 18. She's Norwegian, a bit spiky (Think Sarah Lund, Lizbeth Samander) and does not fit in. As a result, she gets teased.

When a boy in her class commits suicide for no apparent reason, Annie gets drawn into the investigation to find out why. There is also a second narrative strand, in that she becomes irrisistibly drawn to an obscure WW 1 poet, Noel Clark, who died at 19.

My BIG problem is I am a total OCD and can't get this to upload in the way I want it to!!! So you can't read it yet. Comments on cover welcome. It was done by a profesional graphic artist friend. X Carol

Hi, Carole,

The cover is nice and simple.  The spiky girl reminds me of the singer Pink.  Good luck with getting it all uploaded.  I'm not very good at that kind of stuff, either.

Thanks Regina. I am soo fed up of reading articles that say: Oh, I just pressed a button, and trhen my book was on Amazon and I'm making shedloads of money'.

It ain't necessarily so. This is Day 2. |Still not cracked it. Sigh. Will pass your comments on to Dave the Designer. X Carol (Im in GB., where it is 6.45pm)

Oh my goodness.  So am I!  What is the trick to these people and their click button success?  Short stories?  Sexy stories?  Or is it just sheer luck and great timing?

I often wonder if it's really that simple, but in my heart, I know it's not.

I spent three years in GB, stationed there in the Army.  I'm now back on the East Coast, USA.  :)

I recently self-published a novel, THE SUMMER OF THE ROSENKAVALIER, a satire about an opera singer.

Here is the book description from the cover blurb:

How does a young American girl, who knows nothing about classical music and whose musical role models are rock and roll idols, transform herself into the most famous female opera singer of the Baby Boom generation?  In The Summer of the Rosenkavalier, follow the career of Anna Trent, from her choir singing, garage band days in 1960’s Kansas to the present day opera stages of Europe.

It is a summer of crisis for Anna. Besides performance anxiety, she has much to fear and worry about – her fiftieth birthday, aging, health problems - real and imaginary, the loss of her desirability (imaginary), difficult colleagues (real), a neglected daughter, a devious au pair and the two men in her life – her philandering Svengali like English conductor husband and a younger American conductor – her lover and her first extramarital affair.  The novel follows the humorous escapades of the Trent entourage during the summer months, as opera fans turn themselves into modern pilgrims and worship at their favorite shrines, the European music festivals, where Anna performs.

Throughout her career Anna has learned from the characters she has portrayed, models of either how to behave, or more likely, how not to behave.  This summer, she will have lessons to learn from them.

The novel is available from Amazon, paperback 222 pages $8.78, Kindle $0.99

I just had this review:

"This is the story of Lupa, a woman who must first flee and then confront mortal enemies who threaten not only her own life but the lives of her sons. How can a woman survive on her own, against such odds, in a man's world and a world in which Lupa's people are persecuted?

In Lupa, Mother of Wolves has a central character whose determination, bravery, and sheer magnetism keep you turning the pages. It has the sureness of focus that can encompass both the comings and goings on a vast battlefield and a dark, confined animal hole where two children hide from pursuing dogs. It has a descriptive power that can evoke both the beautiful and ever-changing landscape of a tidal river and the menacing darkness of a coal mine. And it has a twist: when Lupa needs help at the end of her struggle, it comes from the most unexpected source. This is a book that held my attention, and stayed with me long after I had read the final page."

Hi All!  I'm a new member here.  :-)  It's such a pleasure to get to know other authors!

***I am in the final editing stages of my fourth wiccan-were-bear romance novella, A Bond of Brothers, which will come out 8/24.

A Bond of Brothers (Book 4 in the Wiccan-Were-Bear Series)

Shaylee Tannia is a banished fairy with the powers of healing and nature at her disposal. One wintry morning, she stumbles upon an injured and dying were-bear.  Saving his life leads to a connection she didn't expect and the love kindled between them is hot enough to melt the snow.  But all is not easy with their newfound love...a brother's claim threatens everything.

Can she bridge the gap between them or will choosing both be the end of it all?  When a demon from her past jeopardizes all she holds dear, will the cost of her freedom be the lives of the ones she loves most?  This story contains one ticked off fairy, a were-bear that doesn't want to share, over-protective mates, a sacrifice of blood and flesh that will melt your heart, and m/f/m interaction.

I've just discovered SheWrites and am so excited about being part of this community. My debut historical novel, The Map of Lost Memories, will be published by Random House/Ballantine ON August 21, 2012. It has already sold in 8 countries, has received some great pre-publication reviews including a starred review from BookList, and was just picked up by Costco. Thank you so much for letting me share information about it here.

Looks great, Kim! Congratulations, and I hope it sells gangbusters.
