I am very interested in creating podcasts and audiobooks, but I am a complete newbie at it. Does anyone have any experince/advice about how to go about making them. I currently use blogger for my blog but can't see a way to add podcasts or audio files as a main item.
Any thoughts welcome.

I just released my first audio book. Talent was so important. Go here and you can hear a sample. I had no idea how difficult it would be for a reader to accomplish such a feat. This lady gave voice to every character in the book. It sounds like a radio play. So, for audiobooks to me you must have experienced talent with access to a real studio. Sorry, I don't know anything about podcasts but the audio book was really fun. http://tinyurl.com/7n6uweu
Have a great 4th and good luck on both projects.

Not much, but it might be a place to start.
Rebecca's right about the audiobook. Talent and equipment are a must.

For the podcast, Sony has a great audio tool for well under $100 & you can turn ur laptop into a studio. They also have sound bites you can download for different noises you may need, like footsteps, applause, dining backgrounds, people chatting, sirens etc... just pretty much any sound you may need. There are also free websites for background noises too.
