Novelists - published or not - chatting about beginnings, muddy middles, dang endings, what to do with it all. Please don't shout (all caps, big images) or post links on the main wall except as part of the conversation. Please do include modestly sized covers in "Our Published Novels"!

Gather for a real-tiime chat on the first Wednesday of each month at 1 EST for topic-based discussions about writing and publishing novels. To join us, just log into She Writes and click on the "Main Room" at the bottom right of your page. It will pop up the "Main Room" box, with the ongoing chat and a place to speak up yourself. If no one is chatting when you arrive, do just say hello.

Comment by Tyra Brumfield on March 21, 2012 at 10:02am Congrats, Rebecca, and I read an excerpt. Very good and attention getting. Love the cover.
Comment by Kathy Leonard Czepiel on March 21, 2012 at 8:52am I would be happy to lead discussion sometime in the future, but Fridays at 3 generally aren't good for me :(
Happy travels, Meg!
Comment by Meg Waite Clayton on March 21, 2012 at 8:30am Just a reminder that the novelist group chat is NOT this morning. It's been moved to Fridays at 3 EST.
The group consensus seems to be to have topics each week, but as yet no one has raised a hand to lead a topic discussion on the thread for doing so, which is http://www.shewrites.com/group/novelistsstrugglingornot/forum/topic...
So for this week, it will be an open chat.
I leave for six weeks of travel overseas next Friday morning, so will not likely be able to do my regular weekly reminder again until end of May - or organize topics/leaders. And am chatting with my editor today about The Wednesday Daughters - not sure what time yet so may or may not make it today.
If you want to lead a topic please post the date you want to lead and the topic on the thread and on the group wall.
Warmly,
Meg

Comment by Barbara Ehrentreu on March 21, 2012 at 12:02am I think going to upstate NY is very relaxing. Find a B&B and just relax. Or go to Vermont. It is so peaceful there. I would suggest you wait until late spring, because it is probably still a little cool up there. There are so many little inns and B&B's in New England.
Comment by Barbara Ehrentreu on March 21, 2012 at 12:00am Congratulations, Rebecca. I love the title!! Good luck!!!
Comment by Barbara Ehrentreu on March 20, 2012 at 11:58pm @Petrea, you might try Direct Messaging, because that is a way to connect with a person. I have gotten to know some people by tweeting that way. Sometimes someone will RT your tweet and thanking them also helps. I do feel most of the time, unless I am in a Direct Message with someone, like i'm in a huge auditorium and no one knows me.:)
