I recently had my first novel published and must admit that while there isn't anything artistically wrong with the cover I just don't feel like it properly sells the story.  The cover is for an…Continue

Just a reminder that the novelist group chat is NOT this morning. It's been moved to Fridays at 3 EST.

The group consensus seems to be to have topics each week, but as yet no one has raised a hand to lead a topic discussion on the thread for doing so, which is http://www.shewrites.com/group/novelistsstrugglingornot/forum/topic...

So for this week, it will be an open chat.

I leave for six weeks of travel overseas next Friday morning, so will not likely be able to do my regular weekly reminder again until end of May - or organize topics/leaders. And am chatting with my editor today about The Wednesday Daughters - not sure what time yet so may or may not make it today.

If you want to lead a topic please post the date you want to lead and the topic on the thread and on the group wall.

Warmly,
Meg

I think going to upstate NY is very relaxing. Find a B&B and just relax. Or go to Vermont. It is so peaceful there. I would suggest you wait until late spring, because it is probably still a little cool up there. There are so many little inns and B&B's in New England.

@Petrea, you might try Direct Messaging, because that is a way to connect with a person. I have gotten to know some people by tweeting that way. Sometimes someone will RT your tweet and thanking them also helps. I do feel most of the time, unless I am in a Direct Message with someone, like i'm in a huge auditorium and no one knows me.:)

That's super news, Rebecca!  I'm going to order your book now.

Also, I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I'm with Lynne.  I love that cover!  :)
