Kathy, I've never heard of the Grub Street workshop. I'll have to go Google it. I'm going to a writer's conference next month, but it'll be my first ever, so I have no clue what to expect. Just what they've posted on the website. I'm hopeful about it, though. Have you ever been to the Grub Street workshop? What's it like?

Just a follow-up to the She Writes badge saga on Wordpress: I emailed with the tech help and they said that badge can't be used because they remove JavaScript, Flash, iframe, form, and input tags for security reasons. Oh well!

I am dumbfounded today. I just received a notice from Down Right Fiction today that they are featuring my novel, Run. I published that in '09. I don't know if this is a blessing or not. I published that novel without knowing what I was doing. My family and friends helped edit it, but it is obvious none of us had a clue.

I recently had trouble with a name for a character in my WIP and in my search found a name index from the Social Security Administration. You can search by state and year of birth for a listing of popular names - http://www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames/state/index.html
