Gather for a real-tiime chat on the first Wednesday of each month at 1 EST for topic-based discussions about writing and publishing novels. To join us, just log into She Writes and click on the "Main Room" at the bottom right of your page. It will pop up the "Main Room" box, with the ongoing chat and a place to speak up yourself. @Judith Marshall Thanks for sharing that post!
@Rachel Your site is lovely! I especially love the Character Bios ♥
Comment by Judith Nasse on April 30, 2012 at 5:12am Welcome Rachel. I also think your website is lovely. Besides book signings, how about a blog tour? If you're a member of SCBWI(Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators)go to their list of reviewers & see if anyone will review it for you, putting it on their blog, Amazon, and other publications. If you haven't already, get your local paper to review it. School visits are helpful. SCBWI has ideas for those too. Hope that helps.
Welcome Rachel. I also checked out your website. It's amazing. Are you the artist of the character profile? Enjoyed reading the profiles too.

Comment by Rachel Cheríe Wood on April 29, 2012 at 7:21pm Hello, hello! I'm new here, but very interested to see what all of you are up to! If you want to know anything about me and my book, check out my site: http://www.rachelcherie.com.
I also could use some serious stimuli for finding ways to promote my book. It's a YA Fiction novel. It is horrifyingly apparent that I am dreadfully ill prepared for doing my end of self promotion... HELP!!
Thinking of self-publishing an eBook? Check out my latest post.
Comment by Elizabeth Kolodziej on April 24, 2012 at 6:59am Hi everyone! I was wondering if there is anyone in the group that writes werewolves? I have a spot open in an anthology book, The Girls Who Cried Werewolf, that will be published this August under my company Third Broom on the Left Press. The story would have to be completed by the end of May and ready for the editor and can be PNR, horror, YA, whatever you like. Please let me know if you are interested. Only serious people please!
Comment by Lynne Favreau on April 22, 2012 at 5:09pm Kathy are you referring to the conference Muse and The Marketplace? http://www.grubstreet.org/?id=173
They have dozens of workshops all year long.
Kathy, I've never heard of the Grub Street workshop. I'll have to go Google it. I'm going to a writer's conference next month, but it'll be my first ever, so I have no clue what to expect. Just what they've posted on the website. I'm hopeful about it, though. Have you ever been to the Grub Street workshop? What's it like?
