Gather for a real-tiime chat on the first Wednesday of each month at 1 EST for topic-based discussions about writing and publishing novels. To join us, just log into She Writes and click on the "Main Room" at the bottom right of your page. It will pop up the "Main Room" box, with the ongoing chat and a place to speak up yourself. Fellow authors, I know that we are a dime a dozen. However, we all have to start somewhere. This is my way of jumping into the foray and seeing what happens. I'm a novelist. In fact, I write suspense…Continue

Comment by Kathleen Kern on March 21, 2013 at 1:43pm Has anyone posted work on Inkubate? Not finding a lot about them from Googling besides what they say about themselves. They have a 1st novel contest deadline on March 31, for those interested.
Comment by Tracey Barnes Priestley on March 20, 2013 at 8:55am This is entirely unrelated to previous posts ... I'm just appreciating all of the creativity buzzing around this site! And now, back to the business of writing!
Thanks for the invite, Meg! Am thrilled to be here. I am a romance novelist, writing for Liquid Silver Books, and cannot wait to share and chat with all of you!

Comment by Mary Rowen on March 18, 2013 at 12:25pm I would love to know more about Amazon's new literary fiction imprint, Little A. An associate of mine has done quite well with his stories in Amazon's Noir imprint. Does anyone know if they're taking unsolicited queries? Or must one have an agent to approach them? I have a completed literary novel that I'd LOVE to send them.
Thanks!
Mary
Comment by Holly Hughes on March 18, 2013 at 12:18pm I have exciting news to share! My pitch was selected by WriteonCon as part of their Luck o' the Irish Pitch Fest. I'm thrilled and scared to be judged, but you can make it better. The more feedback I get the better my chances of winning several cool writerly prizes. Please, please. please, stop by my link- read my pitch ENJOY IT! and leave feedback (of course I prefer positive, but whatever). Writers participating are not able to reply or comment. But in order to win, we need to have the most comments and feedback.
I'd sincerely appreciate any help promoting the link to my pitch on twitter etc.
I need some positive energy assistance with WHAT DEATH HAS TOUCHED. Click on the link and take a look around- read other pitches- get excited about all the potential books. Thanks for the support!!!

Comment by Meg Waite Clayton on March 18, 2013 at 12:14pm A question: I read the other day that Amazon has just announced a new imprint for literary fiction. Is anyone considering submitting to them (or to their other imprints)? I'm watching curiously as this world spins in new directions so quickly.
Hi Sophie-
Great! I look forward to exchanges. I have just posted a couple of posts there with information pertaining to the genre. I will keep up with this group here too!
Comment by Sophie Schiller on March 17, 2013 at 2:41pm Hi Stephanie,
