Comment by Linda Boulanger on February 20, 2013 at 9:45am Author Andrew E. Kaufman invited me to talk about book covers from a designer's perspective. Would love it if you'd take a moment to stop by ♥ (P.S. CFC is an awesome resource for writers from any genre. They talk about all kinds of things over there!) http://crimefictioncollective.blogspot.com/2013/02/creating-book-co...
A belated Happy New Year to All! ... my first post in 2013 ...
I left for Australia on December 8th, three days after my self-published memoir went public, leaving it to wander the Internet alone. The trip was amazing, but lack of sleep returning grounded me for another week. Never realized how fierce jet leg could be, but I’m back with energy to burn, and ready to tackle the Marketing Phase of my journey.
This week I posted, Diary of a Vet’s Wife reveals PTSD / Marketing / Reviewers . . .

Ps I’m extremely pleased with the reviews coming in. People’s eyes are being opened to this epidemic sweeping our nation and the world.
Packing to leave for Australia tomorrow. Sorry I've been gone so long, I've missed all the wonderful writers and friends, but I had to FOCUS on my book release. It happened Wednesday after many delays and I'm thrilled. My post yesterday, "PTSD / Diary of a Vet's Wife Appeared on my Doorstep!" will fill in the details.
I hope to be on SheWrites while in Australia and connect with all that has been going on in my absence.
Self-published with BookLocker. AMAZING people and product. My blog leads to my author page on their site. Take a look at their great work. The cost is the best and they handle the pains of distribution, Ebook, etc.
Have a blessed holiday season with family and loved ones. Hard to believe 2013 is weeks away . . .

My blog this week is entitled: PTSD / Diary of a Vet's Wife / Where's the Book!?!. It shows my frustrating dilemma as I struggle with the book cover for my memoir, Diary of a Vet's Wife, Loving and Living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Another lesson learned on My Journey into Publishing My First Book. I’m hoping to hold the galley in my hands within two weeks. After all these years, I'm waiting with bells on.
Comment by Linda Boulanger on October 24, 2012 at 8:10am I'm guest posting on Karen Elliott's The Word Shark blog today. Karen always shares great information for writers. Today I'm talking about Book Cover Designing with some perfect information for self publishers:

Within a month, my self-published memoir will be out the closet. My new post, PTSD / "Diary of a Vet's Wife"/ Sneak Peek at the Cover, leads the way. It's rather scary. Would love your comments.

Where is everybody?
Hello, I’m back! I didn’t get lost, only buried beneath this process called “Self-Publishing.” Getting frown lines from thinking so hard.
Today’s post is entitled: “PTSD / Vet’s Wife Self-Publishing / Chapter 33 Excerpt,” where you'll learn what’s causing my frown lines. :)

March 30th marks the date when Facebook will roll out its new Timeline format for everyone. I spent most of today trying to understand the new format and setup my Facebook sites so March 30th does come as a surprise or disappointment.
After March 30th Facebook will generate your timeline automatically and it might not look the way you want it to, especially if you are using fan pages. At least now you have the option to preview your page before it goes live. Here is a link to a blog post article that was helpful to me this morning.
How to Set Up Your Facebook Page Timeline by Wolf Hoelscher
All this tinkering on sites drives me dotty. Just when I get a handle on what's what, it changes and I have to start learning all over again. That often means I leave the site because I'd rather be working on my projects than dithering like a fattened goose waiting for the axe to fall on my skinny neck before I find out what I'm doing wrong ;)
