I just joined She Writes and am exploring the groups. I'm also busy launching a new blog and associated FB page--in other words, up to my backside in technical stuff right now and glad my other half is a techie. :)
Great reading, but haven't taken time to comment lately. I'm in the throughs of fine tuning the many faces of self-publishing, which is definitely a time-eater. But I wanted to be sure wish all a Happy and Healthy New Year with many wonderful surprises ahead. You're each amazing!!!
Wishing all my SheWrite friends a Merry Christmas week and a glorious New Year. May 2012 be spectacular for each of us. Blessings to you all.
For some, holidays aren't joyful . . please visit my new post when you can.
"Ghost of Christmas Past / Chapter 15 Excerpt," on my Uncharted Journey into Publishing My First Book, my memoir. Can any of you relate?

Celebrate Independent Authors
In this season of celebration, our blog is again celebrating independent authors who have written books about dogs, books with a dog as the main character, or books for dog owners.
This year, our featured books and authors are: How Sadie Learned to Smile by Linda Boulanger; If I Can’t Be At Your Feet by Crystal Frakes Brown; To Truckee’s Trail by Celia D. Hayes; This Will Not Look Good on my Resume by Jass Richards; Dogs, Flags and their Countries of Origin by Gail Forsyth, Dog Training Best Friends Learning Together by Andrew Ledford, and Something’s Lost and Must Be Found by Lisa Begin-Kruysman.
We also re-posted last year’s list of wonderful dog-related books by independent authors.
We hope you enjoy these books as much as we did.
"Our Soldiers are Returning / Write Your Heart Out" is my post this week on My Uncharted Journey into Publishing My First Book, Diary of a Vet's Wife. Stop by for a quick read, if you can squeeze it in. Do you have a loved one returning?

GOOD LUCK & SEASONS GREETINGS EVERYONE!!!
CHEERS,
This week I posted "Self Publishing? Galley and Reviewer Quandry"on My Uncharted Journey into Publishing My First Book.
After querying a year, I have now tackled Self-Publishing . . . the good and the bad. I'm shooting for a July 4th release date . . . will I make it? Have a special REVIEWER I can add to my share-list?

This week I posted "Survived Main Speech / A Book Cover Quest" on My Uncharted Journey into Publishing My First Book. I was surprised I didn't shake during my speech . . . and my book cover is story in itself! :)

The title of this week’s post is My First Speech! . . . plus Revised Cheat Sheet into Publishing. This is the closest thing to the real deal, and I still quake! When will this fear diminish?

I am currently working with my friends' Lovely Studios/Lovely Press to promote and market their self-help workbook "Where Are You Stuck?" by Lori Bertazzon. They are looking to publish my novel next year.
We are also trying to finish Kevin Bertazzon's ISMS: A Faery Mobster Story (an narrated, illustrated story with an animated prologue). It is available now as an iPad App, but the man he paid to produce a Mac download, ebook, Kindle and Nook has not completed the project.
I am looking for a programmer/developer with the capabilities (serious skills) to complete the job. If anyone has any referrals, I would greatly appreciate it.
Many thanks!
