I had this idea that I would submit an already-published piece to The Passiion Project. I rationalized that it wasn't previously published b/c it appeared on-line for only 6 months and now was gone.
Last week, I came out of denial. Worse than not entering would be entering, winning, and subsequently being disqualified. Or even worse, if I won and became famous, I could always doubt my success b/c I cheated.
All this to say: I had to pull out the only piece that remotely suited and get to work. I am proud of the work I sent it. Of course, when I look at it again, I will see all sorts of ways I could have made it better, if I had given myself more time.

Hurray! I stayed up until 2:30 a.m. typing out my monologue-knowing it was a week late. Just sent it with apologize. If it is kicked back at least I finished a very (hopefully) entertaining monologue.
Also typed out in one hour, a condensed version of my short play (made shorter due to slow typing and lack of time). Got to the workshop late, but it was well worth the effort. Now to wash clothes and pack for a weekend in Natchez to stay at the Dunleith Plantation. Whoopee!!!! -

I was given some research information to write a monologue. It was given to me this past Thursday-whatever that date was and needed to be finished no later than This past Monday morning. The woman loved it and I even had time to help her find hats and guys to read some of the short plays and monologues. I work best like this. Go figure.

I started on my drama series, Bomaw - six times this week, and today, I actually am writing - so far, I've done three paragraphs... but - I have three entire chapters to get done before it's ready to be released on my website. So, before I have the excuse that it's getting late... and it is... it's 21:13 here in the UK, that's late... well, not reeeal late, but late enough to say it's late, late enough to convince myself that it's late so I can stop writing. But I won't - even though it's late, even though I have my grandson to put to bed, and his pyjamas to get out of the dryer, and put on him, because it is getting late. So, I'll get back to writing, before it's reeeeally really late. *sigh*

I'm participating in NaPoWriMo for the month of April and as of yesterday I've written 19 poems. My goal is to write at least 30 and then edit these and put together a chapbook. We'll see if I can actually do this :)
