Permalink Reply by Pooja Pillai on May 10, 2012 at 10:24pm Haven't really accomplished much this week, but I did finish writing an article that a magazine editor commissioned from me. I have also finally finished reading a book I was struggling with for almost 10 days. Now all I need to do is write a review and send it off.
I am currently working on a short story (about 2500 words) on my relocation experience to a new city. My relocation was actually 14 years ago and I'm trying to use that and add a couple of fictional twists to create a story. In my head I can see it clearly, but when I sit down to write it I hit a blank wall that leads me to find everything else to do but figure this story out. I will keep at it, after I clean the house, wash the dishes, surf the net, respond to emails, etc etc.
I wrote a blog post about my love of books. It's a bit of departure for me because I usually keep my posts focused solely on my kids and pretend I don't exist. It's just another way I procrastinate really. I don't write for fear I'll never attain success, that I'm really awful as a writer, and I don't write about myself in my blog because I don't want to confront my fears of failing as a writer!

Permalink Reply by Valerie M Honey. on May 25, 2012 at 1:26pm I have written since 21st May daily. I have had a how to book I purchased through the Writers Digest shop. 90 Days To Your Novel. I have moved on from Procrastination Station, and although I am not following Sarah Domets format, I have applied the assignment to my own work.
I have posted the days on my FB
Permalink Reply by Edith O Nuallain on May 26, 2012 at 12:18pm Valerie thanks for the recommendation. I love hearing about how-to books that writers actually use and find useful. As a beginner and one who cannot afford to take classes I am on the lookout for book recommendations that will sort of constitute a self designed writing course on How To Write A Novel!
So my new webpage/blog is up and here's my first post...

If you have a minute, I hope you'll check it out!
I'm almost to 10,000 words at Camp NaNoWriMo, but as I didn't write anything yesterday, I'm behind. I did manage to write a post about a road trip with 3 kids and my in-laws, all to see the Mississippi River...
Permalink Reply by Mollie Pearce McKibbon on June 13, 2012 at 10:18am I wrote my blog this week and I plan to write another entry today. Notice the word "plan"? It's a great word for a dyed-in-the-wool procrastinator. I "highly recommend it" as my children would say. :)
I blogged about chalkboards...
http://andreamiles.com/2012/06/14/chalkboards/
but I've written nothing for my Camp NaNoWriMo project for several days so I am WAY behind on my word count. And I was doing so well the first week!
