Hello, Ann Marie and others.  I too have a mood disorder and I'm on disability for now.  But more time to write.  I'm dedicating my book I'm working on to my therapist, because without her, I wouldn't be here to write it.  I belong in this group, too.

I wanted to join this group so that I could connect with other people living with mental illness.  In my case I have a severe mood disorder which causes severe depression, isolation, and cuting.  I cannot hold down a job, although for the first part of my years I managed to work steadily.  Back in 2011, I was hospitalized at Pembroke Psychiatric for depression and a psychotic breakdown.   I have lived with depression my entire life.

So you think you know depression, eh? Here's my firsthand account of what it's like having major depression and PTSD.

Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) is a very real issue.  When a child does not attach emotionally to their caregiver in babyhood/toddlerdom, they continue to grow physically but struggle to mature emotionally. This leaves society dealing with (another) adult who looks and sounds like an adult but how has the emotional capacity of a toddler.  Tantrums, inappropriate reactions to their own children, etc...Would you allow a toddler to drive your car?  ??
