I wasn’t very productive at all last week and this week, while I have gotten some things accomplished on my to-do list, I still did not get as much achieved as I would have liked to.  I do have updated posts on my blog that I would love for you to check out.  I shared my thoughts on writing outside the box that some try to place you in as a writer.  I wrote about my habits (good and bad) as a writer and how they either help me or hinder me in my journey.  I took time to promote some things within the Write 2 Be Media company and even to promote a couple of other up and coming businesses that I think are very worthy of being looked at.

Despite last week being a non-productive week for me I wrote about the need to still show up and move forward in your goals rather than standing still.  Some personal issues had me thinking about how I prefer to make my own route and march to my own beat but of course that does mean that you sometimes have to accept that everything is not going to come easy and you will not always be in constant movement and learn to not beat yourself up over it.

I also came to two important realizations recently and that is that even when you are in route to becoming a leader, you must first learn how to follow someone else’s lead and that if you are truly going to get where you are going you have to stop putting limits on what you can achieve.  We all have our own goals and dreams to attain but we essentially all want the same thing; to be great in what we love to do.

I hope you will check out my latest blog posts on my Write 2 Be blog and journey with me trying to make sense of this whole writing world and show your support.  Also please go and check out the latest issue of Write 2 Be Magazine and like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page for updates on what’s coming soon for the Magazine and how you can become a part of the magazine!

Okay so last week was one of those weeks in which I wish I had all of the answers to why things weren’t going the way as planned.  I blogged about my disdain for those who question the habits of what a “real writer” is, as if there were only one specific way to do so.  I also talked about challenging your own limitations and how rewarding it can be to step out of your own comfort zone.  And as much as I wished I had all the answers, I also blogged about the good that can come out of the broken pieces of one’s life and how rewarding it can be to sometimes have things break down so that you can see that it wasn’t working as well as you thought it was.

This past week I struggled a bit (and blogged about it of course) with the line between writing creatively and having to think of the business... (marketing myself).  I was just having one of those weeks where I felt like nothing that I was doing in order to move forward in my....  I also wrestled with my desire to read more and be more of that avid reader that I was when I was younger, that made me fall in love with writing and storytelling in the first place.  And in the end I came to terms that all of that was my fear talking and my inner (negative) voices trying to have me defeat myself with all of the glass half empty type of thinking and realized that I have to do things that I am afraid of in order to have experiences that I would’ve ordinarily never had before.  Sometimes Baby steps toward doing these things that we are fearful of or that we have convinced ourselves would go wrong is better than making no strides at all.

So this past week I have been working a lot on putting together my marketing strategies, not just for my blog, and the Write 2 Be Magazine, but also the fan page and my upcoming ebook series (tentatively titled “For the Crazy Makers…), and just the Write 2 Be brand in general.  I really do want to share my journey with everyone here and invite you all to continue checking out my blog posts.  My latest blog posts touch on topics about not trying to fit in, directing my motivation, being mindful of the words that we say, leaving it all on the floor when it comes to your dreams, creating the life that you want to have, making the best out of bad situations, and remembering to promote myself (cause I could be better at it).  Please check out and support my Write 2 Be blog and also the latest issue of Write 2 Be Magazine.  Then go and like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page for updates on what’s coming soon for the Magazine and how you can become a part of the magazine!

Now that I am almost finished (but not quite) with the first ebook in my ebook series for writers (more to come on that soon), I have to start thinking even more vigorously about the best ways to market my ebook.  I want some traditional ways of marketing it but I also want to market it in ways that haven’t been done before (or at least that I haven’t ever done before).  If any of you have any marketing suggestions (inside or outside of the box) please feel free to share them with me because I’ll admit that I am not very good at marketing myself.  Of course in the midst of working on this I have not been neglecting my blog duties or putting together the latest issue of my Magazine in which I took a hiatus from in the middle of last year.  Please go check out my latest blog posts on expecting to get what I know I deserve, not being a yes person just to keep the peace, on part of my journey on my current ebook project, my first poem that I’ve written in years, and on my daily struggle with the career path of being a writer.  Please check out and support my Write 2 Be blog and also the latest issue of Write 2 Be Magazine.  Then go and like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page for updates on what’s coming soon for the Magazine and how you can become a part of the magazine!

As I am working on my next project, an ebook series for those writer’s out there that continually self-sabotage themselves (to be released soon) it has provoked a lot of deep thought about my own issues and things that I am still working on within myself, things that I think will help other writers out there not to repeat the same mistakes I have already made and am learning from.  Please go check out my latest blog posts being thankful for what I do have, picking the important battles, realizing that God has given me all I need for the season that I am..., being more selective of the people I surround myself with, having the faith to pray more specific prayers, being able to focus on what I need to get done, and moving forward regardless of being hurt.  Please check out and support my Write 2 Be blog and then go and like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page for updates on what’s coming soon for the Magazine!

I have been M.I.A. on here and on my blog for a while but now I am working my way back from writer’s block and some depression and I’m taking into this New Year, some new goals and working on some unfinished projects and some new ones as well.  So please support my blog and check out my latest blogs posts which touch on self-sabotage, rejection, self-reflection, getting through past hurt, on giving your dreams your all, and on falling and getting back up again.  Please check out my Write 2 Be Blog and look for Write 2 Be Magazine to return soon as well.  Like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page to get further updates on the magazine.

As a rational, spiritual human is she obligated to save this man's life? She stays put and watches the fire creep within inches of him. She remains silent.
