Comment by Emiliana Martín on March 6, 2013 at 2:26pm Hello Lorraine and everyone!
I am sensing now is the time for me to get serious about publishing. I have manifold topics to choose from so I need help narrowing that to a short list then coming up with an outline. I have tons of questions the first of which is how do you get on a speaking circuit to start promoting the book? I belong to another SW group on Speaking Opps but no one has replied to my inquiry. Am I in the right place?
Comment by Lorraine Currelley on January 9, 2013 at 6:34am Happy New Year 2013 Everyone!
Here's hoping your year has had a great start! I am living 2013 expecting wonderful things to happen! I've completed my graduate studies and have one semester of internship to complete. I've completed research for a former professor and several book & event reviews & articles. I've been given several opportunities to facilitate and participate in poetry & creative writing workshops as well as read at various venues.
I'm planning and scheduling events and personal readings for 2013. My plan is also to publish a book of poems & an anthology of group literature for 2013. There's lots of work to be done. I'm excited!
Packing to leave for Australia tomorrow. Sorry I've been gone so long, I've missed all the wonderful writers and friends, but I had to FOCUS on my book release. It happened Wednesday after many delays and I'm thrilled. My post yesterday, "PTSD / Diary of a Vet's Wife Appeared on my Doorstep!" will fill in the details.
I hope to be on SheWrites while in Australia and connect with all that has been going on in my absence.
Self-published with BookLocker. AMAZING people and product. My blog leads to my author page on their site. Take a look at their great work. The cost is the best and they handle the pains of distribution, Ebook, etc.
Have a blessed holiday season with family and loved ones. Hard to believe 2013 is weeks away . . .

My blog today is entitled: PTSD / Diary of a Vet's Wife / Where's the Book!?!. It shows my trials and tribulations of self-publishing a cover for my memoir at http://blogofavetswife.blogspot.com. Hopefully, my book, Diary of a Vet's Wife, Loving and Living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is released within two weeks. I'm waiting with bells on for the galley. :)
Another lesson learned on my Journey into Publishing My First Book . . .
