OK, so how do I add a photo to the email without making it an attachment?

So much to do, so little time!

Thanks

I composed my entire email with story in Word first then I added the pic by inserting it. Saved it, opened my mail program, went back to Word did a Select All and copy went back to Email and did a Paste. Everything, including pic, pasted for me. That is how I did it. You can also use insert image in the Email ap to add your pic as well. I hope this helps.

thank you :-)

I'll give it a go

umm - well the copy and paste idea works on everything apart from the picture :-(

also all the formatting goes wrong :-(

I guess they'll just have to have the picture attached.

Think I'll get disqualified???

Use the image insert button in your Email to get the picture in there, it worked for me.

Hi again Marilyn,

I'm using hotmail - and it seems to put the picture as an attachment rather than in the body of the email - which is fine by me so long as it's acceptable for the competition.

I might just upload it like that - I don't want to miss the deadline and I'm a bit unsure as to what that is as I'm on UK time not US. Maybe someone'll tell me if it's wrong but honestly it should be about the writing, not about our pictures.

I have Live mail, but I also use Gmail and it's very flexible. I would recommend keeping your Hotmail, but also using Gmail when you need flexibility.

Thanks for your help.

I've opened an account and tried - it still didn't seem to work but the formatting seemed better so I've sent it anyway - hope they'll let me know if it's wrong.

With all the people entering this contest you will not be alone, and I'll bet this happens all the time. Relax and smile you're in a contest!

Listen! I had the exact same problem you are having and I stumbled on the answer. If you cut and paste a document it won't translate to your email. At least it didn't for you and me.

So This is what I did:

I went to the original picture file -- not the one in the document, but the one in my "Picture" folder. I copied it. Went back to my email. Hit the "Paste" key and BINGO.

I answered this with my solution. I sent She Writes my entry and a copy of the entry to myself, including my picture. The picture didn't appear. I hope you have better luck.

I copied and pasted my profile picture from this website into the body of the email. Maybe that'll work for you?

How did you copy and paste your profile picture? By going into the original file on your computer? Tried that. Nope.

'S okay. I sent in a photo attachment with an explanation. Thanks!
