Just entered the contest. My YA novel is in process and I would love to get some feedback, but the real reason I entered is to support the fantastic work of Girls Write Now. Thanks to She Writes for giving us all the motivation to contribute to a very worthy cause :)

Hi. My name is Sally Franz. I've written "The Baby Boomers Guide to Menopause" and "Scrambled Leggs" and I write adult humor for a travel blog. My first YA novel was, "The Knights of the Red Feather Labyrinth" set in the future on another planet. My newest book, "Alien Light" is my first effort to combine adventure with humor. I love funny women, so I thought, why not a funny young girl as protagonist. Thanks you to She Writes for bringing YA novels for girls to the forefront. This contest rocks.

I love that title, "Scrambled Leggs."  :)

Hello, I'm Chenoa Fawn. I'm new to She Writes and happy to be here :) It's wonderful that the competition entry goes to helping girls at risk improve their English language skills and exploring creative writing under the guidance of Girls Write Now mentors.

Hola She Writes,

My name is Elizabeth Nazario and I write women's fiction under the pen name Charli Mac. The She-Writes YA Novel Contest is my first dabble into YA. My first novel, Meet Me In Jersey, is out in query land with some agents and editors. My second WF novel stalled so I took the YA contest as an opportunity to write a dark paranormal about a girl who is haunted by her mother's ghost. The novel is titled, Ten Minutes.

I look forward to being an active member of She-Writes and am excited to get to know you all better.

Elizabeth

Hi, Elizabeth!  Welcome, and good luck with your entry.  :)

Sounds interesting! Welcome to She Writes :)

Hi Everyone,

I'm Jen and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to have my WIP, The Promise read by agents and editors,so exciting. I hav'nt heard about Girls write until now, but I 'm happy to support any platform which encourages and supports young writers.

I have been writing for two years, not long at all and I'm learning every step of the way. I started my weekly blog
http://welshjensblog.blogspot.com to share and record my journey as a new writer.

The world of writing and publication is huge and crazy, but with competitions such as this we are all brought together and anything is possible, magical even.

Thanks Jen x
