She Writes in California

It would be great to meet other aspiring writers, either journalists, bloggers or novelists. If we have enough people, maybe we can even hold group meetings and get to know each other even more.

It was the best of times, it was the--what the heck. It was Queens, the place I grew up. Check out my memories, circa 1960, in my new series, "A Queens Childhood 101"

I lift my first cup of coffee to my lips and let its warm, rich taste glide past my lips, across my tongue, and enter my body to fire me up for a new day.  My mind buzzes with activity, trying to sort out priorities.  But for this one moment, my fingers dance across the keyboard, lightly tapping out this tiny bit of writing before the short time for such indulgence slips away.

My eldest has finally flown the coop and my pedophile parents have made contact with her. Consequently, I set some boundaries and SURPRISE!!!: She's pissed. I love motherhood and hate my parents. http://bit.ly/Li41v6

"I'm sure that book clubs and libraries are inundated with requests from self-published and small-press-published authors to read their books. Contacting them directly and asking them to read your book is not going to work. You might as well be…"
