Hi! I have been a member of She Writes since the beginning of the year and just found this group. As Independent Authors you might be interested in looking at and joining the Association of Independent Authors. The Association of Independent Authors is a part of a unique community where self-published authors create dynamic member profiles, share ideas and experiences, provide support, and connect with fellow members in an array of groups and forums.

This is for serious authors who want to work to change the perception of self-published authors. It is not for writers who throw together un-edited manuscripts and have them printed. If you want to be part of an organization that intends to blaze trails for independent publishers, then I strong recommend that you take a look at AiA.
