Comment by Tracey Barnes Priestley on May 8, 2013 at 2:08pm Hi,
As a writer, I have had such success with April Eberhardt as my agent.I was so happy to learn that she and Susan Bearman have combined their experience and expertise to offer "Pathways to Publication: Choosing the Best Way to Reach Your Readers." They are in a unique position to answer so many of our questions about the quickly evolving publishing world. I am confident of this workshop's value!
Comment by Susan Bearman on May 8, 2013 at 1:06pm Hi, Everyone,
First, apologies if you got this invitation through other lists. I believe the members of this group will be particularly interested in this program, and we are eager to get the word out, so feel free to share.
On Friday, June 7, April Eberhardt and I will be co-presenting a workshop in Chicago on Pathways to Publication: Choosing the Best Way to Reach Your Readers. We scheduled this on the afternoon before Printers Row Lit Fest. We hope those in the Chicago area or those coming to town for Lit Fest will join us. Click here for more information and to register.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Susan Bearman
Comment by Syeda Tasmia Tahia on May 5, 2013 at 1:16pm Hello Ladies. Anyone here have a moment (or a few, actually) to spare? I am looking some feedback on the 10th chapter of my YA Silent Voices. It is written from a omniscient third-person narrative, focusing on one or two of the for MCs feelings (or silenced voices) in each chapter
Comment by Mary Rowen on April 26, 2013 at 11:55am Hi people, I'd like to introduce myself and my first book (LIVING BY EAR) by sharing a lovely review I received yesterday from Roundtable Reviews. I'm having some trouble getting the word out about LIVING BY EAR, but have had some success (not to mention some failures) and am happy to share my experiences with others if anyone's interested.
One way I'm trying to promote LIVING BY EAR right now is by doing a Mother's Day promotion--the story has several themes, but family is a pervasive one, so I thought it would make a good Mother's Day gift. Therefore, the Kindle version is just $.99 from now until May 12.
Anyway, here's the review. http://roundtablereviewsadult.blogspot.com/2013/04/living-by-ear-ma...
Again, I'd love to chat with other indie writers about marketing and publicity for first novels and what does/doesn't work.
Looking forward to talking!
Best,
Mary
