I added you! :)
I have a page for my upcoming book at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Michelle-Hoovers-The-Quickening/32044...!/pages/Michelle-Hoovers-The-Quickening/320445805674?ref=ts

Thanks! I'll also find the others here.
Hey Tamara - thanks much for the much-needed group; I too will share phat links that come along. One of our She Writers (Jennifer Lauck) just created a fan page for an upcoming book because her publisher thinks social media is a must (!) and a slew of other SWers are exchanging links to their own FPs. Another SWer (E.Victoria Lynn) thought of this: "An idea here--maybe someone could start a discussion or blog post regarding Facebook Fan pages, or start a group to Promote them so we don't have to fill up the inboxes. What do you think?"

What do you think - do you have time for this? If yes, let me know how I can help. If no, I'll jump in.
I'm on FB under my own name here - http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/profile.php?id=100000815366445

Not sure about the rest of you gals, but it seems like many people also do a facebook page for each published book, for either friends or fans. I was thinking of doing this as soon at my title becomes official (Feb 2011 pub date). Any thoughts one way or the other?
Also, as an FYI, Penguin had me fill out a media form, and the networking outlets they asked about were the following (and I took it as a recommendation to sign up on them if I wasn't already!)
Good Reads
MySpace
Twitter
Facebook
I'll see you all on facebook!
Siobhan

I started a facebook fanpage: http://www.facebook.com/LittleRedheadBooks I researched on facebook and they say it's better as an author/artist to have a fanpage off your main fb account rather than a whole other page. I am just starting to use it and it is nice and easy to just update info off my regular page. It also will automatically add your updates to your regular fb page so everything you do is highlighted there too. Makes it easy. You do need at least thirty "likes" on your fb fanpage to access all the stats and info you'll want about marketing the page. Check out my page, see what you think of the idea, and give me a "like" while you're at it!

I am on facebook as well under my own name.

It can be pretty daunting- but it helps to have friends with similar interests!
So true. When I was first introduced to FB I landed in a circle of friends of a friend with whom I shared few interests. I quit FB all together (without any of the problems lately written about). When I started anew I made sure to start off with professional groups related to Arts and Literature. Once I knew how to navigate I felt more at ease. Now it seems a breeze. I'll be happy to connect with you and other SW friends, thanks for opening this up!
