Have you guys seen the New York Times article (Friday) about "A Teacher's Worth"?  It is MIND BOGGLING! See my blog post for more details - it is truly fascinating and I'd love your input and comments

In one month, my husband and I are moving seven hours away from my beloved teaching job. I don't mean to always write about teaching, but somehow the pain of detatching myself from my students sneaks its way into my essays. Is teaching worth getting yourself entangled in the lives of heartbreaking human beings? Teachers, you are invited to read my blog, give advice, and share with me (especially if you have personal experience in giving and letting go). Blessed be. :)

Today I posted my favorite 2011 kids' graphic novels. I'd love to hear what yours are! Personally, I'm new to the graphic novel scene and am constantly AMAZED at how good some of them are. What do you think? Please join the conversation.

What do you get when you combine a school board member, a standardized test, and the media?  The truth.  Or something closely resembling it.
