Welcome!  I know you'll get a lot out of She Writes!

Hi and thanks for having me.

I mostly write Flash Fiction but occasionally they stretch into a short.

My blog is here http://rosiesmith-nazilliwrites.blogspot.com/  and I am currently trying to fit in setting up a site to host a weekly contest.

I enter everything I can find, not to win but because I love writing to prompts, most especially picture ones, and word counts.

I have my first Flash Fiction Collection, Consequential Moments, published in e book format in all the usual places.

So looking forward to interacting with you gals...xx

Rosalind, I've completed my first book of flash also. Well, I will write two more stories and call it a book. Welcome to the group and I'll look for your work and visit your blog.

Hi Totsymae..  There is quite a community of flash fiction writers out there.

Pleased to say I am writing every day and will soon be putting out a second collection..

Do you do any ff challenges..? x

Flash Fiction Chronicles is an online site that I've found resourceful.

Here are a couple of flash challenges sites. There was one I knew of for romance Fridays but I don't know the site link. Just google.

Glad to learn of another flash enthusiast. I have 9 nore flash pieces to go for my 99 One Hundred Flash Fiction Stories or whatever I end up calling it. :-)

My name is Missy (a.k.a. Melissa) Frye. I'm from Arkansas in the good ol' U.S.A.  Missy Writes is my blog and it's there that I share my writing journey and book reviews. I hope to see some, if not all, of you there on occasion.

I've self-published two short stories and both are available for $0.99:

Abandon is about a woman who rediscovers herself after a night out with her teenage niece.

Fool's Journey is about a thief, a rock and a woman shrouded in mystery - Maks had but one goal on his mind. Steal a rock and return it to a dying boy. What he didn't count on was a mysterious beauty insisting she tag along.

A third short, Miltonia Butterflies, is currently entered into contests and I'm awaiting results. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it fares.

Welcome to The Short Story Writer, Melissa. I'm rather new to e-reading and own a Nook. Are your works available for purchase through B&N for the Nook or I can download Amazon works? Sorry for the question, but I've only been purchasing from B&N with the Nook and would love to go to Smashwords and other sources.

Fool's Journey is available in all e-reader formats. You can download the Epub file for your Nook. That's what I love about Smashwords. I've published Abandon through Kindle Direct Publishing and they use .mobi for the Kindle. Don't think it works with the Nook. However, you can download a free Kindle App to read .mobi books/files on your computer or phone.

If you do download my stories, I'd love for you to add a quick review to the site from which you download.

Missy

Hey,

My name is Becky. I’m studying German and creative writing at the University of Oregon. I spent the last year studying the short story specifically, but there's much I still want to learn. I’m spending the summer on the road with my mom - she’s a long haul truck driver - and getting acquainted with all the truck stops in the country. So far I've had several adventures worthy of a blog post.

I just had my first experience with self-publishing at Smashwords. My short story “They Year of the Rooster” is free, and I would owe a favor to anyone who leaves a review ;)

Also, I’m hoping to join/start a small but reliable critique group, so I can put what I’ve learned to good use and keep my reading/writing brain sharp.

Rebecca, I'll download your book and make an effort to review it.

If you like, we can develop a critique group through The Short Story group. If there's some way it can be interactive, through Skype, even better. Everyone can read their own work or we can switch up and read each other's work and offer critiques from there. If anyone else would be interested, cool.

That sounds awesome :)

Hi,

I'm Pamela. I have been writing all my life, in journal, essay, and poetry form. I not only love to read short stories, a big fan of them actually, I write them as well.

I started my first blog in June. Stop on over anytime and say, "Hello."  :)  http://snapshotofthewhole.wordpress.com/
