Hi Thriller writers!

Well, it only took 9 years, but my first novel has just gone live on Amazon. I've been in a writers group for all these years, which has been so helpful, but I'd love to connect with writers of this genre as well.

If my book sounds like something in your lane, let's connect. Maybe we can help each other going forward. I'm just starting to develop the sequel now--and shooting for completion in one year--a far cry from my timeline for the first!

In The Green Line, Abby Donovan's decade long dream of partnership at her prestigious Chicago law firm is just months from fruition. But after stepping onto the wrong train late one night, a train headed into Chicago's west side where gangs and drugs and violence fill the streets, everything changes. Abby is haunted by what and who she's seen and the death of a kind stranger. She's compelled to investigate, despite the risks to her promotion. But the investigation jeopardizes more than her career. Someone is watching. Someone willing to do anything to protect a secret.

Advance reviews have been great--but now I need to find real readers!!

 Check it out!

New group: Paranormal and Supernatural Writers

This group isn’t just for paranormal and supernatural writers, but anyone interested in these subjects. Published, unpublished, it doesn’t matter. Even if you just have the idea for a story but haven’t written it yet, or like to read these kinds of books, you are welcome to join!

Hi All,

Well, I'm back from vacation (great, but it wore me out...went to Cedar Point and then Niagara Falls with my son and his family in a camper)...and just wanted to check in. Good to be back. Hi to the new ones here. I'm fairly new here, as well. I'm planning on posting one of my backstory essays on one of my 15 published novels here on She Writes sometime today or tomorrow, main page. On my thriller novel WINTER'S JOURNEY. If you get the chance, please take a look at it. In my backstory essays I talk about the origin and the journey of the book. Since some of my books go back nearly 40 years...sometimes there's quite a story behind the novel. Kathryn Meyer Griffith

Hi everyone! I don't comment on this group nearly as much as I should, but I wanted to share Thriller Writers Extravaganza. It's a month of NYTBSA's guest posting about writing craft. Last week RJ Ellory shared an awesome post about keeping tension throughout your novel, and Margie Lawson is up this Thursday. Would love for you to check it out if you have time.

Hi everyone. I am currently working on my first novel, and am looking to get to know other writers. I am drawn more towards thrillers, and my first novel is about a woman who is attacked and has to confront her past so that she can move on with her life. Actually the description of my book is the part I have the hardest time with, but I don't want to give too much away. I would love to get to know some of you better and possibly be able to learn from others.

Hi all,

My name is Emma McCoy and I'm new to SW.  I started writing my first novel about two years ago and I'm finally finished.  Now I'm working on two more (I must be crazy) and I've been looking for a way to network with other writers.  This looks like a good place to start.  I write about serial killers and the strong women charged with stopping them.

Hi Thriller Writers...

Thought I would quickly introduce myself. I have been writing for 3 years, 1 year full-time. I have a first book out on submission (ghost story) and I am busy on my new WIP...first in a series - Paranormal Psychological Thriller.

This week in 1976, German and Palestinian terrorists skyjacked an Air France airbus. The plane eventually landed in Uganda, then-known for its leader, the volatile dictator Idi Amin.

When I realized what had happened those 36 years ago, I had to blog it, especially as I flew internationally within the next few months of the Air France/Entebbe incident. My flight came 6 days after another skyjacking out of JFK.  Scary times.

"Beautiful essay, Sarah!  My own contact with some of the best books ever written took place mostly before I was 24 years old.  Maybe I'll give some of those classics another try."
