Permalink Reply by Bronwyn Mauldin on August 15, 2011 at 10:32pm Just submitted my 2000 words. It's an excerpt from my YA novel, Coyote Girl. The manuscript is complete and ready to find a home. Or ready for the next round of edits. Seems like there's always another one waiting around the corner.
Thanks, Kamy, for putting this contest together. I'm also glad I got the reminder by email today. This submission had been on my to-do list for a while.

Permalink Reply by Celia Stander on August 16, 2011 at 3:00am Hi everyone! I'm Celia and I've submitted the first 2000 words of my work in progress, an urban fantasy novel titled 'As long as you live'. It is about a young woman who is a reluctant warrior for a renegade celestial group with a hidden agenda.
Good luck :)

I am new to She Writes as well and seems like a great community! I just submitted to the contest as well, a middle grade called Joshua and the Lightning Road with series potential. I look forward to getting to know you. I also write suspense and trying my hand at this middle grade in a Write a Novel in 9 Months class. I am seeking an agent for my paranormal suspense novel and starting a new psych suspense novel. Nice to meet you!
Thanks Kamy for holding this contest!

Permalink Reply by Tina L. Hook on August 16, 2011 at 10:30am After many long pauses at the 'enter' button, I sent off my first 2,000 words on Sunday. I have spent the last two years writing and editing my first novel and have just begun the agent query process. What a great opportunity. Happy writing to all.
Permalink Reply by Cassandra Dunn on August 16, 2011 at 10:39am Hi fellow-aspiring-novelists! If any of you has a free moment, I need a quick favor. I just made the second round in a writing contest, and with your votes I can hopefully stay in it! One story is the first on the list, and the second is about halfway down. They're only 100 characters long! Many thanks for any help.
