Thank you Courtney and Kristen for your positive words about my title.  It started out as my working title, but I ended up thinking it really worked, and kept it.  The story focuses on a Tokyo District prosecutor's investigation of a potential homicide, during which he falls in love with the victim's widow and young son, inconveniently as he's about to get married.

Wishing you both all the best with your projects!

Greetings to one and all.

Earlier this month I submitted my entry into the "We Love New Novelists" Contest.  It's the first time I've submitted my work for any type of recognition so I'm very excited (and a little nervous).  Thanks to Kamy and the team at SheWrites for this opportunity and the fantastic website/community.

My novel (first) is about a 13 year old boy living in the Territory of Wisconsin in 1847 with his mother.  He is kidnapped by his aunt/uncle and taken with them to the Oregon Trail.  Along the way he is indentured and left behind to make is own way.  It's a coming of age story while walking two thousand miles across what would eventually become the United States of America.

Thanks again for this opportunity and wish all that entered the best of luck.

Cheers!

I am so excited to "meet" all of you -- and so impressed of the depth and breadth of your projects and personalities!  I hope we can find good ways for everyone to continue to feel inspired and work on their novels even after the contest is over. :)
You guys are all awesome -- I hope you know!  And I also hope this can serve as motivation to keep going.  Congratulations to all of you for being ready to enter, a feat in itself.

Hi, I'm Beth, and I entered a looooong version of a flash fiction piece published here, at Curly Red Stories. Congrats to a fellow central Indiana writer!
