Why Do You Write and What's Your Process

As an author, psychotherapist, wife, and mother who also does abstract paintings and studies her dreams I am incredibly interested in hearing authors discuss what brought them to writing, and the process by which they continue creating.

About Why Do You Write and What Is Your Process...
This means that you have a chance to promote yourself and your work on my page here @She Writes.
Each interviewee will write an essay of 500-1000 words, forward it to me along with a picture of them and I will post it on the blog for my page here @SheWrites for the entire week (7 days).
During the week that each author is featured I encourage other members to read the guest author's essay and forward them questions and/or comments about their work and their process.
We can all learn from each other.
I encourage featured/guest authors to tell us about your work(s) and upcoming releases so that we can purchase them.
Think of this as a space and time for promotion and marketing of your and your work.
Include links to where we can purchase your book(s), links to short stories, essays, poems, links to whatever you or anyone has published of your writing.
Feel free to provide links to your blog posts, anything that gets the word out about you and your literary work.
You do not need to be traditionally published to be featured in this blog. It is for anyone who is a member here @She Writes. We are all works in process. I find that discussing why I write and my writing process helps me gather my thoughts and move closer to achieving my goals.
To be featured just let me know that you want to be a guest, write the essay and forward it to me.

Suicide: Breaking Through
Today marks the seventh anniversary of my husband's funeral AND my cousin's suicide. I've learned the reason for suicide began long before my first attempt and, as it turns out, also is true for my cousin.
