Now that I know there are others on SheWrites who blog on Wordpress, can you put up a link so we can come and visit if its a public blog?
Mine is http://clairemca.wordpress.com and its mostly book reviews and a place to learn how to blog and play.
Wish I knew how to create a 790 x 190 pixel image so I could change the header image, that's the next improvement I'd like to make.
Look forward to seeing others.
Claire

Permalink Reply by Jessica Wachtel on February 21, 2012 at 12:42am My blog is Because Dating Sucks.
So why becausedatingsucks? Is that not blindingly obvious? It’s the truth. Spin it however you want eharmony (insert your failed attempt at online dating here), for all the success stories, how many horror stories are there? Why not make a commercial about the poor girl who wasted the good bra (ladies you know what I mean) on the man who used a picture from 20 years ago and shows up as a “35 year old” but is without a doubt at least 55? I like to call it like it is. This site is not a bitchfest. It is the accurate documentation of different women and what it is like to date in NYC. Love us, hate us, judge all you want.
I was taught to write what I know. What do I know better than myself? Plus, this is usually (ok always) my favorite topic. Living in a post sex and the city world, I know this idea is not unique. Then what makes it so special? I didn’t write sex and the city so the stories of myself and my friends are not in that movie (would have made it Oscar worthy). My only goal here is empowering other women and letting them know they are not alone, plus this shit is funny. I have an amazing talent when it comes to putting a comedic twist on a tragic tale.
Email jlwachtel@gmail.com if you have a story you think should be shared with the world. I know I'm not the only one.
Permalink Reply by Claire McAlpine on February 22, 2012 at 1:12am Thanks for sharing Jessica, its a never ending subject that often entertains, but does dating success therefore correspond to some kind of failure?
