Comment by Stevie on June 3, 2013 at 5:17pm I don't think it possible to entirely get rid of the spam, but instead you have to find ways to keep it from getting posted. I set my comments to be moderated and not posted automatically. If you are on Wordpress.org you can use plug-ins like CAPTCHA to block out spam, or buttons that have to be clicked before commenting but on wordpress.com the options are more limited. I get a lot of spam too but I just delete it :(
