I love wordpress.  I tired both blogspot and wordpress in the beginning, and found blogspot to be very limiting both as a visitor and as a blogger.

In the long run, wordpress is easier to use and more flexible.  I use theme Twenty Ten.  I find things every time I look to do differently -- I just discovered the slideshow and how easy it is to embed a youtube video of my own making.

As a visitor I found it difficult to sign up for updates on other peoples blogs unless I wanted to have a google address or be a blogger, in most cases.  That is the whole point, because i am not just writing for my pleasure (I have a personal journal by my bed!)  I want it to be easy for my visitors to navigate!

If I could give you one piece of advice about wordpress it is to go in and try everything on the dahsboard.  See what it does.  Do it in a dummy blogpost or something you can easily erase and do ver.  PLAY!  It is how I found so many great things!

I blog in three places:

1)  http://zenkatwrites.com/ -- my main blog where I write about my art and personal issues.

2)  http://katwritesfood.wordpress.com/ -- I write about food issues and offer recipes.  I am passionate about our food supply and what our eating habits are doing to the planet we intend to leave to our grandchildren.

3)  http://mpfconservation.me/ -- I am the primary writer for our business, as restoration/conservation practitioners.

When we finish our novel I will blog as one of our characters!

Please visit my new blog and tweet, facebook, forward, etc.. if you like it.  It's about embracing age, growing emotionally/psychologically/physically by pushing myself to get Outside Of My Comfort Zone.  I turned 50 this year and feel like I went to bed one night with plenty of time to do XYZ and suddenly woke up a "middle-aged" woman!

50 Ways In 50 Weeks - the idea is I try 50 things outside my comfort zone, one a week over 50 weeks.  That's about a year to discover new creativity and genius.  So far, I've signed up for Improv classes, learned to cartwheel, tested out ways to worry less, and taken a Trapeze lesson.

Thank you for visiting!

"Thanks, Rysa, for the 99¢ feedback. Random House is only doing the offer for two weeks, which is not doubt long enough for the short-term sales pop. I do worry that 99¢ might end up being the new $9.99 for e-books, and there will be no way…"
