Being a professional in film world,a published writer, now a comedic performer, am mothering twin 7 yr old girls who somehow already where my clothes; I started a twin support group because so many new moms were ready to hang themselvse.

This group title made me laugh out loud! I'm not a mother of twins (not a mother at all actually- that reminds me to take my birth control pill) but I AM a twin. And every time my mother does or says…Continue

If this isn't twin-related insanity, I don't know what is.

Comment by Lori Duffy Foster on October 3, 2012 at 10:57am Wow! A group of women who might just understand me! I have 5-year-old identical boys who are strong, tall, super curious and LOADED with energy. I also have a 12-year-old son, an 11-year-old daughter and a husband who travels a lot. The older two have been fairly easy, but the twins are a huge (though rewarding) challenge. It's good to see so many others on here, who have survived with their writing intact, especially a mom of quadruplets. I blog about identical twins at http://twinsblog.troupsburg.com/. I look forward to reading your blogs and getting to know you all.

Comment by Theresa Lummer on August 7, 2011 at 9:21am Hi! I am brand new to She Writes and this community. I'm still learning how to navigate this website. When I saw this group, I knew I had to join. I am the mother of 22 year old quadruplets. They are all entering their final year of college and they all live at home and commute to college. My husband and I refer to our home as "the dorm." We are very blessed. We have three girls and one boy and they are all healthy. Raising them has certainly not always been easy, but it has certainly been filled with wonderful experiences. I am presently writing a book for them. I am writing it as a blog and will have it published as a book (4 copies of course) when I am done. If you are interested in viewing it, you can find it at www.shehasquads.blogspot.com. I look forward to reading about everyone's lives raising multiples. We are all truly blessed.
Comment by Starr Sundblad on July 19, 2011 at 1:23pm Hi Everyone! I'm new to the community and the mother of 15 year old twin boys. There is always something new with these two...and thankfully we've just finished the "I hate my brother" phase of their lives!
Favorite moment? When they were 4, I came downstairs after a bit of quiet time to discover that they had covered each other in flour.
I asked them why they had done it and they said "we're being ghosts, mom!"
I look forward to hearing your stories!
And now? We burn down the house.

This one is specifically for other MoMs, and even more for those of you who went through fertility treatments...

Comment by Fleur de Lys on February 21, 2011 at 1:00pm Hats off to all of you from a veteran. My twins are tweens now. I won't tell you there's a magic point where it all gets easier (although the 3 year mark provided enough of a hiccup in the insanity that I remembered to brush my hair every few days), because it's always a challenge, but just remember you are raising unique human beings who WILL surprise and delight you with their gifts and talents. One of mine is a budding poet and the other a computer genius. I took off from working outside the home until they were in kindergarten. What idiot coined the redundant phrase "working mother" anyway?
I look forward to hearing your stories and pitching in with wisdom from the trenches wherever possible.
Hi there! I have 16 month old twin girls, I'm a student, and I write. Mostly my blog and poetry.
