So you think you know depression, eh? Read my firsthand account about my experience with major depression and PTSD. It will make you a better friend to your friends battling depression or if you have depression, you can share this post with them so they "get it."

The Turning Points Book Collaboration is alive and well. We continue to seek upbeat and uplifting "turning points" stories to add to our book. Currently we plan publication for the 2011 holiday season.

I too have a mentor to thank for asking me to ask more of myself than I had ever done before. She wasn't easy nor should she have been. Each "meeting along the way" leaves me a bit richer than before.

Life is about the people you meet along the way, I say. So many people I have met have brought me to turning points in my life. Most especially a "boss" who had more faith in me than I had in myself. He pushed me beyond my comfort zone and I rose to the occasion to be the professional I am today. I'm grateful to him everytime I stand before a crowd. Thank you John S.

As co-editor of Turning Points, I am looking forward to reading the stories told by our contributors and getting to know them through their work.
