Hi Everyone! I have a question. I'm interested in starting a website to support my first novel, as well as my other works. I'm thinking of using a pseudonym. I have a full-time job in an unrelated field and don't want any misconceptions or negative connotations to seep over into my day job. Have the rest of you used or considered using a pseudonym?

Hello all. I am trying to write my first novel. Some days I wake up and thinking I can't do this and feeling guilty about it, I have been trying to write every day but it doesn't always work. Other days I want to write but I can't formulate the words. I need a sounding board , someone I can discuss the story with. I heard an author speak of her writing partners, is that something common and how does one find them? It sounds like a need a cheerleading team but actually I do need an ear. It's a scary prospect for me.

Alison - check out She Writes Query Critique v 2.0 group. I've gotten good feedback there in the past. Also, Agent Query Connect is a great source too (but be prepared to pay it forward there and offer others critiques in exchange for your own).

Hello, writers!  I'm looking for a "query critique" group... anyone know of one?  I'm on my fourth draft of this bad boy and it still doesn't have the "special hook." I've taken a class, and had it reviewed (and picked apart) by agents at conferences, so I know it needs work!  Thanks!

Hello Fellow Writers! I have exciting news to share! I just published my first novel called The Point of No Return.  It is available on Amazon both as a paperback and on Kindle.  I would love for you all to fall in love with my story and my characters as much as I did!  I hope you enjoy and happy writing to all!

I just did the same thing as a vintage lady I waited until I was 60 to take this great leap of faith. I did everything that I had to do before I reached back into my heart's desire and knew that once retired I would have to try...so I learn from all of you wonderful ladies at she writes and this novice just did it...the hard part I thought would be putting it together or self-publishing...no the hard part is marketing it...mother didn't tell me that it would be days like this...my baby is now out in the world and I have to raise it while its sisters and brothers threaten to be born...I don't know now that I think about it I'm not sure if I should have waited to old age to live my dream but then again it has given me a whole new life and I think I've been blessed with another ten years...therefore instead of being 60 I'm now 50..if I write another I might get to be 40...if I keep it going I could see 30 again...lol if you ever wanted to read this old age baby stop pass my website as I write in my pen name...SaBrowny Rae...visit me at   www.sabrownyraebooks.com now back to writing the sisters and brothers to the new baby...love you all and I have been away for a long while RevLa

Hello Ladies.  After 15 years,  I finally self-published my first novel on May 6, 2013.  To my defense I started as a teen...LOL  It actually took me around 9 months to write, edit, and publish "My Brother's Keeper".  Wow just realized...9 months...it's as if I birthed a child. With all the blood sweat and tears, it sure feels like I did...LOL.  The toughest part for me was the first edit...Sheesh!!!  That was brutual.  I actually cut almost 15K words the first time around.  I believe I quit twice and theartend my book with a match and some gasoline three times.  But its all worth it when you hold that book in your hands, and look down and see your full name in print.  It's an awesome feeling.  Keep up the work ladies, and allow those creative juices to flow.

Hello Ladies. Anyone here have a moment (or a few, actually) to spare? I am looking some feedback on the 10th chapter of my YA Silent Voices. It is written from a omniscient third-person narrative, focusing on one or two of the for MCs feelings (or silenced voices) in each chapter
