THANK YOU SW for the Passion Project! What more can I say - it has been a motivating, dream filled, and exciting process. I woke this morning, checked to see if preliminary entry figures were posted and remembered that once a manuscript has been submitted, to maintain sanity, a writer should smile, pat themselves on the back for taking the risk and exposing their naked manuscript, and immediately move on to another project. And still, after recalling the advice, I cannot help but feel a bit like a kid in a candy store with high hopes and a desire of some form of immediate gratification.
While I have always been acutely aware that being a writer is similar to being stuck in traffic after a long holiday weekend, I never forgo the holiday because of the inevitable jams. Playing with words, floating in the river of thoughts, and dreaming under the stars usually concludes in a process of stopping and starting, waiting often without patience and poise, and then with a mind filled with memories, we glide off the freeway back to a safe, comfortable place with loads of laundry and unpacking.
So SW – thank you for the holiday and the glorious dreams of catching that falling star. I love being pleasantly surprised by all that SW has to offer and, of course, look forward to what is simmering behind the scenes.
I look forward to reading it about thirty years from now when it will be a distant memory untainted by commas, and verb phrases, and all things editorial!
Yes sorry not to have face and word to word time. I liked the stuff you were saying and I am in awe of the skills you have and know how needed they are for all of us. Hope for more time soon. Regards, Wicki

LOVE has been on my mind the past few days. Maybe because it's valentines day... maybe not. I just want you guys to know what love means. Real love, not the fake marketing kind. So, I've spent the last few days trying to define love for you, not…See More
Cris, I started writing when I finally believed in myself enough and allowed my voice to emerge and trust the process. The piece I'm working on is a one-woman show about mental illness and it was bubbling under the surface for years. It was…
