Who I am:
Blogger, Poet, lover of words and the creative spirit we possess. @FreeinDCBlog www.freeindc.blogspot.com www.facebook.com/FreeinDC and www.facebook.com/amymelroseindc
Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to, and any scripts or plays I've authored:
Lots of poems, none in publication though. I do most of my writing now for my blog and related posts on other sites such as the City Paper.
Media outlets that I currently write for:
The Washington City Paper Arts Desk blog "Freestylin' D.C." Monday and Thursday late afternoon feature highlighting free arts and cultural things to do in DC. Also write a weekend feature on www.ReadysetDC.com and on www.borderstan.com on occasion. May begin posting select events on www.bourgeononline.com - where I am part of the overseeing organization's board.
My writing is:
Poetry, Blog Posts
Outlets where I review books, TV, or film:
No
Services I offer to other writers:
Happy to help get the word out through Free in DC for any of your author events or signings if they are in DC or accessible by metro. Also am on the board for Day Eight, which runs Bourgeon, an online arts magazine with lots of great articles written by artists about their process in their own words so if you are interested in submitting a piece to the site, I can connect you.
I'm part of these writers' groups or salons:
Bourgeon Writes, a new - hopefully monthly - salon from Bourgeon, an online arts site in DC.
