Who am I
I've finally writing; it's what I've wanted to do for many years. (A quote by George Eliot that moves me where I live is "It's never too late to be who you might have been.")
On the way here I've been a singer (professional for 20 years), an actress (I'd say 'actor' but I rail at the politically correct), a paralegal (yuck), a music appreciation teacher (got my BA in composition from Berklee College of Music) and an English teacher (I happen to love grammar!). So that puts me in my "to-make-up-for-lost-time-I'd-better-live-until-120" decade of life. In any case, I'm finally fulfilling a need born -- oh, say, four or so decades ago -- to write.
My site, blog, or Twitter handle are
Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to and any scripts or plays I've authored
Contribution to anthology: Like Water on a Rock - Shaar Press
Essays:
She is Pure - Essay on my first experience as a member of a Jewish organization that prepares Jewish people for burial according to Jewish tradition. It appeared online at www.aish.com
Deaf to her Own Voice - Mishpacha Magazine - Fictionalized piece (to protect the innocent) about a woman born with her foot in her mouth.
From Song to Song - Aish HaTorah -- A piece about my transition from rock star to observant Jewish woman.
Interview: Denah Weinberg, widow of Rabbi Noach Weingerg - in Five Towns Jewish Women's Home
Scripts:
"Survival and Shidduchim, A Ba'alas Tshuva's Tale," a musical play -- a story of one woman's evolution (mine) from rock-singer to religious Jew, including vignettes of the search for a proper mate. Think Hitchcock's Psycho. No. It's actually a comedy.
