Who I am:
Author: Annie Seaton | Website

Annie Seaton lives on the beautiful east coast of Australia, where she loves sitting in her writing chair, gazing at the ocean and writing stories. She has always been fascinated by all things historical and has found her niche writing steampunk, where strong heroines and brooding heroes fight together to make their alternative world a better place.

She is excited about joining Lyrical Press, and looking forward to seeing her first novella, Winter of the Passion Flower released. Annie is currently working on her second project, Summer of the Moon Flower, which is a novel length follow up set in Vienna.

Annie lives next to the beach and she loves spending time gardening, walking on the beach, and of course dreaming up alternate worlds!

Hi Annie, ooh what do I write? Well before joining She Writes, it was mostly book reviews, memoir and journaling. Oh and a few short stories. Since joining this forum I haven't stopped writing in my very favourite genre, always there in the background, but only recently given into the temptation....romance writing. I am having the time of my life with it. It's such fun! But I do want to learn to get good at it so I am reading as much as I can, both romantic novels and how-to-write-romantic-novels. I am sort of approaching it as if I am taking a course in the subject, only my tutors are books. Hence any recommendations are very very welcome!

I saw from your blog entry that you are a member of RWA. I am thinking of joining and my husband has given me the go-ahead to spend the considerable membership fee, but I still need to figure out if it is worth it for me. The list of online classes is considerable, but how exactly are they run? Do you know anything about them? Can you recommend them? Is there feedback from the course tutors?

Also does the organization offer any kind of help or support for new writers in the genre?

It's so lovely to 'meet' you!

I know, I know. Caramel. Crunch. Or maybe it's the Mocha Cookie Crumble that has your number. No doubt Jane Austen would have gone for the crunch rather than, say, Hume's multi-volume History of England, and where would we be now? If Scott wouldn't…See More
