I'd like to know why and when authors use pen names. The recent activity on SheWrites about Twitter Handles has me thinking about changing my twitter name from @mydustbunnies (linked to the name of…Continue

Though I am a 50-some-year old human resources professional, my better work is as a wife and maniacal hockey mom of three (though now only 1 remains playing) I am currently breathing zamboni fumes in Ottawa, Ontario. A dash of sarcasm and and a shot of chardonnay got me through writing a hockey momoir ("Offside by a Mile - Confessions of a Hockey Mom")I am hoping to soon publish.

Astra, read your blog this morning--your bio is hilarious! I share the 3 kid placement, but a bit younger, 7, 10, 12, and we are brand new to water polo, so I feel I'm looking at my future. Survived watching the littlest in his first match without saying much (can't say same for the husband)...no, I was busy hoping my son wouldn't drown. Love your savvy wit...
Hi Astra - I enjoyed your morning blog. I am a retired hockey mom who truly misses the cold arenas and the terrible coffee. I'm not addicted to Tim's - it's okay. I prefer a large Americano. Starbucks is fine but expensive. My best cups of java were served in London, England. I thought the English made tea, but they really know how to make a great cup of tea.
I really enjoyed your blog on the noisemakers, especially your husband's "conversation" with the border patrol guys. Ha! Best of luck to your teams. Not much of a sports fan, but I love your enthusiasm. :)
