Who I am:

I am a retired attorney who has been married to the same man for 35 years, we have two wonderful, grown sons, and two rescued, loved and loving, 11-year-old dogs, one of whom now requires a great deal of help due to sudden blindness.

I now have time to pursue my lifelong hobby of pottery more seriously and transition my previous painting experiences into abstract painting, which I find very rewarding and liberating. I have had several successful shows of both art forms.

My newest activity is to take my very private writings public through my current writing group where we critique each others work vigorously. I am more diligent about working on it since joining this group because, while it has demanding standards, it is also very supportive. I am enjoying writing tremendously and finding it cathartic.

I am thinking about starting a blog but am consumed with my current writing projects as well as other creative activities.

I am currently working on a memoir and a children's fantasy about my grandmother's and my love of gardening.

I have also written a few poems but have not tried to publish any of my personal writing.

In my career before the law, I wrote news articles, speeches, press releases, public relations notices, and publicity flyers for Boston University students, faculty, and alumni. I also did much of the same on a volunteer basis for school and religious organizations I was involved with.
