A Snake Interrupted my Writing

Snake in the Grass

Not this snake. He wasn’t satisfied with grass. He wanted something more. So he came in. To my bedroom. And ruined a perfectly peaceful afternoon. My ritual of a good night sleep, gone too. And three days later, I’m still typing with my feet up.

I met him once about five years ago. He was playing in the garden under the big leaf glossy greens in my entry way. Now, while I love…

Hellooooo over there! I'm slowly slowly getting involved in this site and will eventually be posting some kind of introduction blog entry. I admit, this is all intimidating but beautiful.

In short my novel, The Tiger and the Sparrow, is set in the Interwar English Countryside, but tells a much modern story about people telling their own versions of their lives and how pseudo truths can cause problems.

What are you working on now? Will you be redrafting your novel or working on something new?

Hola, Brynne!

Thanks for your invitation to be friends on SheWrites. A house for a month in Ireland sounds grand! Wish I had sponsor suggestions for you, but I don't know any shortcuts to coming up with your story angle and then research publications that would want to publish it. Best of luck!

Hope you have a minute to leave a comment on my blog. I'd love to hear from you!

Sweet, Brynne! Thanks, I hadn't had a chance to look at it. But thanks to your note I did, and then went and checked out your blog. Great work! Nice to have the reminder to appreciate the beautiful things in life we often overlook in our busy-ness... CONGRATS on winning the dinner, and on the fine showing of your story on Amazon, and GOOD LUCK with the new novel!

Ha!  I'll let you in on a little secret.  After the fourth child, it gets easier.  Imagine my life is an octopus.  I'm the head and my children are the tentacles!  I make it so it's not hard on any one person.  I homeschool, so that means I'm in complete control of everything!  I'm dizzy with POWER!  Bwuuahhhh ahh ahh ahhhh!

Add an awesome husband to that and there you have it.  Chaotic BLISS!
