Hi. I'm a newbie to this site, and a Brit! I'm about to publish my first ebook - going it alone after 20 years, as I am hacked off with the way publishers treat me. So ... this is my question: we…Continue

This is what I drive.

I drive a vintage car. It's a Citroen 2CV. She's called Annie Rose, and she is the fourth 2CV I've owned. She was built in 18984, in France, and originally was all grey, but two years ago, after signing a 2 book contract, I blew the money on having her sprayed pink.

Is there a connection between writers and their cars? I write chicklit teen fiction (check me out on Amazon). And hey, I drive a fun girlie pink car. What do crime writers drive? What do YOU drive?  :  ) Carol the…

Here in the Uk (where we eat chips with fish, and tomato ketchup) research has come up with the alarming stat that we now text more than we talk. I'm guessing that it's the same where you live. I am appalled. What is happening to civilization?

We seem to be heading backwards. How can you get to know someone without chatting (preferably with coffee and cake on the side)? Texting is not…

A couple of well-known writers are pushing hard to get all children's books given an age-appropriate tag, so that the 'right' readers will read them and they will be placed on the 'right' shelves in bookshops.

Slippery road towards censorship? Or About time? You probably have…

And delighted to have you join us in the novelist group! If you haven’t done so already, you might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion. We do a live chat Wednesdays at 1 EST, with instructions on how to participate in the "Our Water Cooler" box near the top of the group page. And we save the wall for discussion, but welcome links to helpful blog posts on the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread and to published books in the “Our Published Novels” one. I hope you’ll enjoy the group.
