Profile Information

Who I am:
I hold 2 graduate degrees, one in music from Indiana University, and another in business from Columbia University. My career has been as zigzaggy–from opera singer to VP at a commodities trading house, with other odd stops in between. A junior high English teacher convinced me I couldn't write, so I was nearly 50 when I took my first writing class.I now teach voice and stage presence, and submit like crazy.
Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to, and any scripts or plays I've authored:
Co-editor, "When Last on the Mountain: The View from Writers over 50" (Holy Cow! Press, 2010); author, "Speak Up: The Public Speaking Primer (Press 53 (2010) and "Clues to American Dance" (Starrhill, 1993).

It looks like you have quite a body of work and encourage you to please list your books in OUR GROUPS BOOKS in the pages section to the left of the groups main page.

I think many of the ladies here can relate to the squashing of desire and ability when they were younger when it concerns their writing. I sure can and I am so glad that you have a book that even speaks to more mature writers like us.

Please have a look around the group and feel free to participate in the many discussions and activities we have.
