Spring Springs and April is Poetry Month

April is fast upon us

the dew no longer freezes

on the branch. The sun cruises

the yard all day, looking for flowers.

Yesterday she found two tiny blooms

under the holly bush. White sky gives way

to blue most days now. The ground opens

for small green teeth to erupt, bulbs awaked

in every bed, new birds are in every tree.

Me-Day

I hereby declare every Thursday as MEDAY. It will be my own day of the week where no one will have any pull on me. I declare this is my day to write and everyone needs to leave me alone to do that.


I am sick of the "normal stuff" of everyday life getting in the way, so I am fixing that. When the weather is good (think summer) I will actually leave and go to the beach or a park or a picnic area with a lunch and a notebook. For now I am "in my office" with the do not enter…
