Profile Information

Who I am:: I am a starving artist, an identical twin, a runner, and a chocoholic. I grew up on a beef and tobacco farm in Kentucky. Despite my tomboyish roots, at age seven, I told my mother that I wanted nothing more than to dance for the rest of my life. So that is exactly what I did for almost sixteen years: ballet. About two years ago, after I stopped deluding myself that one day I would somehow wake up with the perfect ballet body, I finally shut the door on dance to begin a new chapter of my life. I have discovered many other outlets through which to express myself, including but not limited to visual art, writing, and music composition. I hope to reenter academia this upcoming fall for biomedical engineering, of all things, but in the meantime, I think I'll just write...and paint, and make music...
