Who am I
I am a believer in God and profess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I am retired from a career in childcare that I loved. I am a writer who is ready to find a way to afford the time necessary to actually write and submit my work. I have taken my responsibility of being a Mom as my most serious role on this earth. I poured myself into that role and life has been good, but I allowed my dream of becoming a writer to get put way, waaaaaaaay down the list of priorities. But, oh, I had such plans for the empty nest! Finally, I would realize my dream! Our children are grown with young families of their own. I planned to close my home childcare (a very rewarding, but very time consuming career), take a job offer to work at the local bank and in the evenings would hone my craft. Then 3 years ago, our empty nest was filled again! Our two great nieces came to live with us and we have since become their guardians. We found being full time parents in your 50's is a bit more exhausting than in your 20's! Find time to write? What free time I managed to carve out these past few years would find me dozing off as soon as I sat down. I have recently closed my business and the girls are 3 and 4 years old now... I will still pour myself into shaping those precious little souls, but will find a way to pursue my writing career! It is time.
