There was a time when summer meant one thing to me... cold beer. I remember that time of my life pretty well, considering all of the brain cells I must have killed with cold beer and other summertime festive drinks.
It was only about 15 years ago, but when I think about the difference between then and now, it seems like a lifetime. It was a time in my life when summertime meant one thing and one thing only: What could we come up with as the next excuse to…

Lisa Gradess Weinstein said… Hi Cindy, I loved your blog post! I for one, am a candidate for the shower activity you describe, no worries there! I signed up to follow you. Feel free to visit my blog - I write about being the mother of a teenager, coping with middle age and celebrating the ups and downs of nearly 18 years of marriage. Some posts are poignant, some are funny, some are both. Hope to see you there, www.lisagradessweinstein.blogspot.com
Take care,

Erin Emerson said… Hi Cindy,
I am not sure why I'm getting emails with your blog posts, as I have not subscribed to your blog. If you're sending them through SheWrites, please don't. So many of us have blogs that we would get thousands of emails every day if members are emailing about their blog posts.
Thanks,
Erin
Janis Greve said… Hi Cindy,
Thank you so much for reading a few of my posts and also for your encouraging insight into what I might actually be doing on my blog--I do so appreciate it! It's funny; I've heard the word "book" echoed by a couple others who have glanced at my blog recently. I think you're right--that the pieces can kind of be read as one "continuous flow" of autobiography. I'm both drawn to the idea of a book and not--and the "not" is entirely because it seems like a whole lot of headache to do that taking the usual routes. But if I'm already doing a kind of book on my blog--well, that's something I can see myself continuing. Maybe I'm a trailblazer for a new kind of internet creature--the Blog Book!
What you've said is exciting for me to think about, so, thanks! Who knows--maybe the blog *will* eventually find its way to the page.
Again, let me know if you're interested in linking blogs on our sites. Let's stay in touch, Cindy!
