Hi Cindy! Get ready, cause it's a lot of information! :o)
Killer Nashville started out as an international annual conference that takes place the fourth weekend in August (this year August 22-25, 2013) for Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, Crime, Horror and all the other types of writing that fall into those genres.
It has since grown to be so much more then just the mystery conference. The conference helps ALL writers, but still has an emphasis on the mystery, thriller, suspense genres. We still have the great conference every year, with at least one guest of honor (this year Anne Perry is coming all the way from Scotland!). Killer Nashville's primary goal is to assist writers of all levels improve their craft.
We offer outreach programs throughout the year. We have multiple contests, for published and unpublished work. We help connect writers to agents, editors, and publishers. Killer Nashville's founder, Clay Stafford, does daily book reviews that has a potential reach of 9,000 people. We have a weekly blog at http://killernashville.wordpress.com.
If you would like to explore more, please check out our website at http://www.killernashville.com.
If you are interested in our Claymore Award contest (for unpublished work), please see that website at: http://www.claymoreaward.com.
My dad is very supportive of me and my writing, he came across this and sent me the link. Thanks for the welcome!
Thanks Cindy, I look forward to it!
Thanks for your welcome!
Eva Lesko Natiello said… Ok. Thanks for this. I guess I'm confused with discussion thread. Are those individual threads within a specific group, or are they general? Do you just communicate with others within the groups you belong to? Sorry for all the questions. If there's a tutorial you recommend, pls let me know. I;ve seen a couple but they haven't addressed this stuff. Thanks!

Esperanza Habla said… Hahaha :) Yes, Habla is from the verb "hablar", to speak or talk. And I have met one or two people with that last name. ;) I'm not fluent in Spanish, I'm still learning. Oh, I'm with you-I know a few key phrases of French, but I would be lost! :)
Esperanza Habla said… Thank you Cindy :) Really, Esperanza Habla is my pen name. In Spanish, it means "Hope Speaks". And I have a lot to say. ;) I will check out your blog. Thank you again. :)
