Silencing the Violence of Verbal Abuse

As heartbreaking as it is to think about, many people experience and suffer from some form of abuse everyday in this world. Some for many years of their lives unfortunately. However, I feel that Verbal Emotional Abuse is the most common and has the most lasting scars. Bones heal, bruises fade, but the negative words spin in our heads over and over again. Sometimes those Invisible Scars send people into deep depression from verbal abuse. Keeping them from healing, focusing and moving past the…See More

What's wrong with my son? Part I

My youngest son was born 10 weeks premature. I was told it was normal to be developmentally delayed the first year. However something never seems quite right. At age 2, he still wasn’t talking. I had him tested numerous times for hearing loss. That wasn’t the cause. Our local school district started providing speech therapy. He started talking by the time he was 3.Several other developmental delays were still evident. As well as sever sensitivity to stimuli of any type; noises, smells, too many…See More

What wrong with my Son? Part II

Posted on March 6, 2010 at 12:30pm 0 Comments

My youngest son had obvious developmental delays from being 10 weeks premature. Doctors and teachers thought he had many other things wrong with him, such as ADHD and OCD. He was finally seen by a specialist at University of Nebraska’s Munroe-Meyer’s Institute. That is when he got a correct diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome at the age of 11.

I had my son in speech therapy at age 2, because he didn’t talk yet. He went to a special education pre-school in a town 15 miles away at age 3. He… Continue

Michael is my oldest son. He is a powerlifting champion and has also been on the United States Powerlifting team 6 times. Graduated from college and is now in grad school. He is going into the medical field because he truly… Continue

Love Manual.....please

Posted on March 4, 2010 at 12:30pm 0 Comments

I've been waiting for the right man to come along for quite a while now. I've grown and figured out who I am. I've rejected the wrong men and learned what the good ones should be like. I've put myself out there trying to find true love and been hurt and even embarrassed a few times.

However this time, I feel totally different. A calm inside of me from being absolutely certain that he is the 'One' capable of loving me and appreciative of genuine love in return. The one whose own… Continue
