About Me!!!!

I'm a writer of young adult science fiction, fantasy novels and short stories. I'm married and have three beautiful children. I love to have fun and clown around. I guess that's why I write YA, I hear their voice so clearly in my head. No, I don't think I'm crazy --- I just love to write!!!!

Just read your recent blog post and left this message on your blog:

Some great tips here and yes, the fresh eyes and even better, a fresh expression to go with them, therein lies the rub! Thanks Dawn.

I just opened the door to the novelist group for you, Dawn - welcome! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. I’ll look forward to chatting with you!

Okay, I would love to!  I host a writer's club and currently do exactly what you are asking.  I dont only critique but throw my work out there also, so its an even deal.  Visit our site at http://promisepen.webs.com  We meet once a month and part of the participation in the group is to read/write/share.  I can also suggest mywriterscircle.com That is a very good resource for putting your work out there for random persons to comment and give feedback.  I found when I was on an extended leave for my son's surgery, I really got into editing and critiquing, so much so when I announced I would be leaving (since I had to go back to work..), I had people contact me personally so they could continue to send me work to review.  I am an avid reader of non-fiction and some fiction.  I am not quite a book a day but a book a week sometimes more.  I wish I wrote as much as I write.  If you want to send me anything, let me know.

Adrian, in Tempe, AZ
