Helen Reddy's 1970 hit, I Am Woman was viewed as a rallying cry for many women during "second wave" feminism. The following verse, "You can bend but never break me, 'cause it only serves to make me more determined to achieve my final goal" reminds me how much our gender has overcome since the beginning of time. The following quote is another reminder that we still have a long way to go:
