Well I am back and have explored a couple of options.  I had entered a poetry contest in Sept. have made the  cut for the inclusion into the book.  That is pretty exciting. Last poetry contest I entered in 1999 I won...but thought it was a fluke:-)  Maybe not?i am going to attend my first writers contest. It is being held in NY at the Sheraton Hotel.  There is suppose to be 60- 70 publishers and agents.  A bit intimidating for the novice, however one must forge ahead:-)I am also creating a…See More

Daily writing journal

Today I have decided to explore my options with my writings.  Not sure where if anywhere it will take me, but I am counting on conceiving and receiving what you believe.  I believe that while my grammar and punctuation need help, I have been told time after time that I have a gift.  I am sure that thousands of writers are told that, so what makes one stand out from the rest?  While I am really not sure...I think that this is the first thing that I will explore.I have really expounded on my…See More

After the Novel..home from the hospital...breathing still labored

My decision to write the novel in a month was birthed from a desire to accomplish it, of course...but once I began writing I came down with a bug that is still plauging me.  I started to come down with it on Oct 31...defnetely not my favorite day of any year.  Then by Nov 1 when I was beginning the Bella Rosa Portrait I was running a fever etc.  For the most of the writng I felt like I was writing with cotton head....however that wasn't dangerous,just very annoying and sometimes made it…See More

Novel-Bella Rosa's Portrait

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a winner!  I took the challenge, began writing on Novemeber 1st and at five minutes after two in the afternoon today Novemeber 28th, my son in laws birthday i finally completed 50,541 words!  I am so relieved.  I knew I could do it if I stayed focused. And it hasn't been easy.  When i first started the novel I had caught the flu or some bug.  It never went away and i found myself writing, most of this novel with COTTON HEAD!  Then over the Thanksgiving holiday I…See More

I am the author of two self publsihed books, both memoirs:The Ominous Betrayal: memoir of a child of hope and An Awesome Journey. Published poet, and contributor to two mental health anthologies. I'm the wife of Dennis for 39 yrs. mother of two and grandmother of six.

As a mental health advocate and ex Executive Director and founder of a mental health organization and life coach, my associations are rooted in mental health,local, State and Federal gov't, all pretaining to mental health. i worked with the victims Information bureau of Suffolk county, and continue to speak for the Suffolk Police dept several times a year in their Crisis Intervention trainings. Worked with MICA groups and visited the pysch units in Suffolk county. I am included in Cambridge Who's Who and the 1990 Women's World book of Who's Who.
